Everything in Soritch is general information and education. This includes composite scores, factor scores, signals, confidence levels, 7-day targets, prediction bands, Planner allocations, AI overviews and chat answers, lessons, news and charts. None of it is investment, financial, tax, legal or accounting advice. None of it is an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or to follow any strategy.

Soritch and its maker are not registered with the Alberta Securities Commission, any other Canadian securities regulator, the U.S. SEC, FINRA, or any other regulator as an adviser, dealer, broker or portfolio manager. Using Soritch doesn’t create an adviser–client or fiduciary relationship.

What the signals mean

BUY, HOLD and SELL are labels for ranges of a composite score: above 55, 45 to 55, and below 45. The score is calculated mechanically from historical prices, technical indicators, basic fundamentals and headline sentiment. The labels:

• are the same for every user who looks at the same stock at the same time;
• don’t consider your finances, goals, time horizon, taxes, existing holdings or tolerance for risk;
• are not reviewed by a person before you see them;
• can change quickly and may be wrong.

Forecasts and prediction bands

7-day targets and price ranges are statistical estimates from past price behaviour. They are not promises or expectations of what will happen. Real prices often move outside the shown range, especially around earnings, news and market shocks.

Backtests and accuracy figures

Any backtest, hit rate or accuracy number we publish is hypothetical. It was calculated after the fact on historical data, with the benefit of hindsight. It ignores commissions, taxes, slippage and liquidity, and it may suffer from selection and survivorship bias. No real money was traded. Hypothetical results have built-in limits, and past performance, real or simulated, doesn’t predict future results.

The Planner

The Planner spreads an amount you enter across the sectors and markets you pick, using the same rules-based scores. It doesn’t assess whether investing, or any particular security, suits you. Share counts are approximate. Treat a plan as a starting point for your own research, not as a portfolio we recommend.

AI-generated content

AI overviews, Planner write-ups and chat answers come from large language models run by Google, Groq or on your own computer through Ollama. Language models can produce confident text that is wrong, out of date, or made up. We don’t review this text. Check facts independently before you rely on them.

Data accuracy

Prices, company data, exchange rates and news come from third parties, including Yahoo Finance, Frankfurter and NewsAPI. This information may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and we don’t verify it. Quotes may not be real-time. Confirm prices with your broker before trading.

Risk

All investing carries risk, including losing some or all of the money you invest. Stocks and ETFs can be volatile, and diversification doesn’t guarantee a profit or protect against loss. Foreign securities add currency risk. Only invest money you can afford to lose, and think about speaking with a registered financial adviser before making investment decisions.

Our interests

Soritch doesn’t receive payment from any company, fund or broker whose securities appear in the app, and it doesn’t earn commissions on trades. The person who makes Soritch may personally own securities that appear in the app. Scores and signals come from the same rules for every security and are never adjusted for the maker’s own holdings.
